For the Boa Fans

Too many to choose from!!
I did my usual cricket run today and walked past all the snake cages in the local pet store as I usually do. I never pay too much attention to what they have because for the most part its hypo hondurans, albino corns, veiled chameleons, normal ball pythons blah blah. Today however I walked past a tank with some boas in it, and one actually made me stop and do a double take. I am assuming they were all central american, typically coloration, head pattern, and tail pattern but these guy looked very different. Here are some pics, let me know what you guys think, Im kind of baffled by it. He is on hold for a week for me so any of you MDers tough luck. Anyway let me know if I am excited for nothing. The thing that caught my eye were those orange stripes

That little one looks amazing. I would have bought it on the spot. Seriously. Especially if it was female!

It's on hold. I plan on getting it but I want to see what people think. Do you agree with central american? Whats with the orange? Possible motley het? Who knows lemme know what you guys think

I agree with the Central American 100%. As for the het motley, maybe... Looks like a motley from the top, but some CA's have that look. Regardless, I would buy that if I were you. I am VERY picky about my boas too...

Those orange lines are crazy! I love it!
With the exception of those, it looks exactly like my central american.. she's getting better and better everyday.
You should stop stalling and go get it!

sooooooooo, which pet store was that??

:sidestep: :sidestep: :sidestep: running out to check all local pet stores......

you know if you really want to know what this snake is, I would shoot Jeff Ronning of Boaphiles an email or post on his forum. Thats the place to go for qualified boa answers.

The first email I sent didn't attach the pics right so they couldn't see em :headbang: So hopefully they will get back to me tomorrow.

Vin did not think it was a mot. He did agree that is was a CA, and most likely a nic. He also suggested I breed him/her to a hypo.
