When thawing feeders...

TrpnBils

22 is not enough snakes
the other night, I began thawing out 7 mice. They were about halfway thawed when something came up and I had to leave, so I stuck the baggie of mice in the fridge. Yesterday, I was working all day and forgot that the mice were in there, and now I'm heading off to work again so it means that they'll get fed at 5:00 today when I get home.

Should the mice still be OK? They weren't thawed and refrozen or anything, and I figure we all keep beef/chicken, etc. in our fridges for longer than that and they're still fine. I've never actually had to do this before, so I never really thought too much about it.

Treat you mice just like you do your own food. As long as the mice didn't get warm on the kitchen counter you can put them in the frig just like you would chicken.
