Harvesting mice

Crazy Critter Lady
I have a question I had not thought t ask til now. The pinks my mouse had are very small compared to what my snakes are eating. Should I let them stay with the colony til the size I need or do I need to pull a few at a time starting now? So far there are only 5. I have 2 more litters deffinitely due in the next day or so.

Thanks so much!

Now that your raising your own you can be picky about size. I would let them get to the size you need then cull them. Unless it is feeding day (schedule) then I would feed 2 if needed ect...

Agreed, cull them at the size you need them or a little bigger to take into account their growth but there is no point in collecting smaller ones unless you have something of the appropriate size to eat them.
