Hi, When can a snake be sexed. I asked in the store where i bought them and they said it cant be done until they are a year old. Which brings me onto another subject, How can you tell how old they are. My ghost is 18 inches and my norm is 16 inches. The store didnt seem to know, they just said about 6 months. Thanks for any help.
 
Your snakes were probably born last summer or fall. They can be sexed at any time. Brand new babies may need more care but can be sexed right out of the egg. They are very much old enough now.

I think your pet store doesn’t know too much about snakes and are just putting you off. Sexing a snake is a somewhat delicate operation and should be done by someone with experience. Your pet store doesn’t sound like a good choice for experience.

Thanks Wade, You are right i dont think they know a lot,or cant be bothered which surprises me as they are one of the biggest reptile dealers in my area.
