Post Mortem House snake ("GRAPHIC" PHOTOS)

RobbiesCornField

Bring it on.
I took the opportunity to take a few post mortem shots of Zulu today before I put her in the freezer. For those of you who did not hear, I got an African House Snake at the Orlando Repticon yesterday. She died this morning. When I found her, she was flipped over, laying on her back. I took the pictures outside because that's where I get the best lighting.

That sucks, dude. Did she seem to be in good health when you got her home?

Yeah! She was fine all yesterday (Nanci and Katie can vouch for that up until about 4:30PM). She was seemingly fine this morning, out and exploring a little bit. And then about 11:30, I was doing my egg checks, and she was gone.

Odd that she'd turn upside down. I've lost a few in my day and it's so weird when one does that.

I'm very sorry for your loss. That is really strange that she was fine then all of a sudden she died. My granite corn snake did that too. He was fine then the next thing I know he was upside down dead.

Sorry to hear that Robbie. I think I just saw your thread about her yesterday. Is there any possible way to contact the seller to see if they can replace her? I know you can't replace her personally, but atleast get another snake of equal value?
Again, I'm truly sorry.

Robbie- I'm so sorry that happened. She was a lovely snake, I know how much you've wanted one, and now this. You took your time, looked them all over...imports...it says something about the iffy-information the seller provided you too. (I was there, for other readers). Perhaps looking into information regarding what to look for health-wise regarding imports might be useful for future purposes. I know how awful it is to have to go through what you're going through, literally and figuratively. Again, sincere condolances. d

That really sucks,Robbie! I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I'd be livid and sooo sad if I were you!

There's a local store near me where the owner was a vendor at the show yesterday. The vendor I bought her from had no signs or business cards, but hopefully the local guy will have some info on them or where I can contact them. I still do have her in the freezer in case a body needs to be provided. I took these pictures in case I was able to contact them via e-mail. Thank you, everyone, for your thoughts.

That is really too bad Robbie. I would be interested to know the cause if you should ever find out. I hope you can resolve something with the vender.
