New addition: Hogg Island/Colombian Boa

Meet.. Oh, okay, he doesn't have a name yet. This little boa, born in June, '08, is an intergrade between a Hogg Island and a Pastel Colombian boa, according to the previous owner. He's very sweet-tempered, and absolutely gorgeous!! The last owner had him only two months before deciding he didn't "have enough room for another big boa cage" when he grows up. He was originally purchased from a breeder on Kingsnake. "Male" according to the PO, and looking great!!

Anyway, does anyone have any name ideas? I'm thinking something Halloween-y... So far my list consists of "Jack" and "Hallow". =)

There are a lot of pictures; he's very photogenic! Without further ado...

Thanks, guys!! Lol, Robbie, I hadn't thought of that... It's definitely going on "The List"! I can't wait to hear what some other people will come up with, too... Since I can't come up with anything else to save my life. =)

Quick update on this guy...

I've finally settled on a name... My two friends helped me come up with a hefty list of Halloween-sounding names during one of our slower classes at school today. We narrowed it down by what each of us liked best, and, finally, all agreed on one: Jekyll. =)

On another note, he ate his first meal with me today... And, even better, it was frozen/thaw. When I purchased him, the PO told me he ate "both"--he had been feeding him live (my only qualm with getting him) adult mice, but the breeder had had him nicely established on f/t. Today I offered him an f/t weanling mouse... After lots of scenting and offering and more scenting, I gave up and left his by then brained, slit-backed, and bedding-scented mouse with him in his shoebox. And go figure, all he wanted was privacy!

"Jekyll" is now curled up, fat and happy, in his warm-side hide... Actually, he's poking his head out and staring at me. I think he's waiting for me to "go to bed already!" so he can explore his 20H in peaceful darkness...
