I bought my snake on Saturday at an expo. The breeder said that there feeding day is on Fridays, however skipped last Friday because of the expo. I want to wait till this Friday to feed her, but scared it might be to long. My question is: will she be ok till this friday?

Another worry is the size of the pinky.... she looks way to small :p i know snakes can swallow food a lot bigger then them, but still worries me. She is about 4 months atm.

She'll be fine! They can go quite a while without food. The general rule for feeding is no bigger than 1.5 X the fattest part of the snake.

Should be fine.

I dont know the age of the snake or if it missed any previous feedings, but it should be fine. I know little hatchlings look very small and fragile but missing one weeks feeding should not hurt it a bit. You are doing the right thing by waiting and not trying to feed during a stressful time in it's life.

As far as the size of the pink, my opinion is that if you are too worried about the size of the food item you can make it smaller. Cut the head off and feed the head. If thats not enough, cut the legs off the body and feed the body to your snake.

Also, cutting slits in the pinkies skin assists the snake with digestion. If all those things sound like a little too much mouse mutilation, maybe you can just get a smaller pinky from the pet store and save that one for a few weeks.

Hope this helps,
Jimmy
