New snake hiding in aspen

I got a 1yr old corn snake 3 days ago. I has been hiding in the aspen since I got him. Do they usually stay there or will he hang out on top of the aspen and in his hides once he is acclimated?

I got my first Cornsnake last May as a hatchling and the first thing I noticed about him was that he was just as happy curling up under the aspen as he was in the hides. Now hes over 2 ft long and still tunnels around in there as much as he uses his hides. I wouldnt worry too much about it. The first 6 months of Ransom's life I only saw him in the middle of the night or feeding/holding times. Now I walk in and hes hanging out on limbs in the middle of the day.

That's nice to hear, my hatchling stays under the aspen also. But she is beginning to peek out a lot more.
