Hi my name is Krystal.. I am new to this forum and I am also a new cornsnake owner.. I have a baby bout 4 or 5 wks old.. I have had it for 2 wks.. he is amazing.. couldnt ask for a better baby.. buut.. I have noticed that he has some what of a long black line inside of him bout 2 or 3 inches from his head and bour 2 or 3 inches long... Im worried that, that isnt normal.. Is he ok?

I also want to thank you guys I got on here last night to browse around I learned alot.. I fed my baby thursday and I have noticed that he hasnt pooped and today is feeding day I was worried.. I read bout how some of you guys poops in the bath.. so i took him put him in the tub and the lil turd pooped right away... thanks..

another question.. when I purchased him i was told not to give him tap water to drink.. but when u bath him can u use tap water? sorry so long Im just new and curious.. I want to do right by baby whiskey..

Some baby snakes are more see-through than others. I have one in which I can see his lung, even. It's disturbing! I suspect you are just seeing some internal organ. Baby snake poo is tiny. You may have missed it. I wouldn't worry about either of those things as long as the snake is active and eating. Many people avoid city water because of the chlorine. If I had city water, I would use spring water for my animals. Anything you don't want your snake to drink should be avoided for bathing, too.

Okay, I'm not really sure what you're talking about by a black line. Is there any way you could post a picture of your baby so we can see what you're talking about?

About the water, tap water is usually fine. I prefer mine to be filtered first, though.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with Whiskey!

I actually have pics of him but they are all on my phone.. Im like a real mother everything he does is so cute that i snap pics.. he is pretty see through.. he is an amnalistic or something like that also called red albino... but his belly is actually white and i say clear cuz u can see everything thats goin on in there.. lol.. thanks you guys..

to get pics from ur phone to ur comp just email by texting ur email adress i didnt know if u new that or not but just trying to be helpfull

If you use tap water and are worried about it, just let the water sit out for a day or so before giving it to him, most of the chlorine and such will dissipate. Tap water is actually cleaner than many bottled water brands.
