Hello,

I've always loved snakes even since I was a little boy , I've decided I want to have one as a pet. Are the corn snakes hard to keep? What is everything I require in keeping a snake as a pet?

Thanks in advance

cornsnakes are the easiest of all snakes besides the boa`s and pythons. If your not looking for a big snake I would recommend a corn for a begginer. I have two. On is a w/c and the other is from a breeder. I like them both as well but the wild one is still wild and will bite if your not careful. I`ve had them both for 3 yrs. and live in s. florida where they are common in the wild..

Corns, Milks, Kings Carpets, Pines, Bulls and gophers are all easy to keep... So are Boas....
Well most of then really.....
You just need to replicate their natural surroundings......
A viv is the first thing you will need... These can be R.U.b.'s of specially made vivs... Then you will need a thermostat and a thermometer.... Then some substrate and a water bowl... A couple of hides for your snake to be secure and thats about it.....
You will need to heat your snakes house at one end only, and that will create the thermal gradient the snake requires.....
Thats a simple abridged version of what is required.....
Go to FAQ at the top of the board and look through the questions that have been asked.... Then google care sheets and look at a few to see the average.....
You've picked a good site to start your research as most species are kept on here and the people are very helpful......
Now start your reading, and welcome to the addiction......
If your shy feel free to pm me with any doubts you may have....
