(I'm sorry I'm so critical!!!) I'd fill up those half-logs with scrunched paper towel, or spanish or sphagnum moss, or something. Babies like to be CLOSED IN!!! And maybe throw in a paper towel tube. I know it doesn't look natural, but they love them so much!! And, do you have a thermometer on the actual UTH, not just on the wall where is isn't that important??

Babies (and most adults) like the hide to be _touching_ them. They don't want to be rattling around in a big open space.

I never got a chance to look at the other topic again, but I know I questioned the size of the HUGE hides as well. They remind me of Ball hides.

well the temp probe is on the glass under the aspen. the gauge on the wall is humidity.

sphagnum moss would be good. so ive heard come shed time dampen it and it will aide in shed.also i know with my adult amel i started with small hides and she didnt like them shes different lol.
