I have a 29 viv with no heat source but the tank is running an average 81.5 degrees no cooler than 80 though how can i cool it down? Or should i put a UTH under the hide and make it about 90 degrees i have no idea what to do!
Really? The ambient temperature in your house is around 80 degrees? Gee, you can put up with warmer temps much better than I can. LOL.
Perhaps where you're putting it is in a spot that is too "naturally" warm? I know that I'd never put a snake enclosure in the west wing of our house. It would cook during the summer and freeze during the winter - and that's with the thermostat set at 76! LOL So, maybe you've just got it in too warm of a room?
does your snake feel cold when you touch him/her?? if your snake feels cold then u can put a UTH under the tank but if your snake doesn't feel cold then u should be just fine the way it is.
