cleaning the viv of poo question?

i use a woodchip substrate an elwood loves making tunnels in it. but he also poos in the tunnels and i can never find them to do a spot check an remove it from his viv. should i changed the wood chip every week or is it ok in there for a bit or do i rumage through like a lucky dip an try an find it?

Oh, man! I'm sorry, but that's too funny :rofl: How many days did you wait after feeding before handling? Maybe he was holding it for that precise moment. You should start a poop club thread like the bite club one.

My friend's charcoal had his first poop on my silk blouse just before we were supposed to out for dinner.

I had gotten my snake-phobic bf to hold my corn while I was cleaning his viv and I come back to find the snake missing. "Oh, he's just hanging out in the elbow of my sweater" my bf says calmly moments before the wetness creeps up his arm :dgrin:

A while back I had taken my girl out for a visit with my friend. We got to talking about poop and I mentioned that she had never pooped outside of her viv unlike my male. Just as I'm putting her back she lets one out and it drips down the side of her viv and all over the screen top that I had leaning below. That was not an easy mess to clean up if you can imagine.

Ah, too many fond memories...
