I have found myself in a state of irrational happiness at the moment. I just got my last check from my summer job, and it was over $150 more than I thought it would be, or at least than what I was planning on. That means that we can finally pay the over-due mortgage on Monday, which is exciting, and Tara gets paid next week, so we won't have to avoid eating for two weeks. Also exciting.
I start back to school on Monday, which is a mixed blessing of sorts... I will miss the lack of stress with not having to deal with teenagers, but the stress of having no money will be eased, and that is good. Plus, I was in my classroom today and really felt like I got a lot of solid work done.
In addition, Tara's replacement baby hypo lav arrived today, looking very nice. He is a replacement for the one she lost last year, and all we had to pay was shipping.
In spite of the fact that these aren't super-great things, I am actually happy and content at the moment, which is a nice change from the uber-stressed state I have been in most of the summer.
