Ok I'm pissed. I sold a Rev. Okeetee to a lady and to make thing short she it dead in 30 min. She went to show it off to a friend and she wouldn't let her take it in . So she keep it in the car for 15 min. and this is in TX heat it was like 95 to 100 out side and I told her to go wright home and she calls me wanting her money back. I said no. Am I worrg on this.:devil01:
 
Well, anyone who leaves something alive in a car in Texas during the summer is an idiot, so no, you're not wrong.
 
no. if you leave anything living in a car in summer time. then you should be locked in the trunk of that car. shes a nut if she thinks this is your fault. i would actually just tell her your reporting her for animal abuse if she tries anything funny. as much as it sounds to any non herp person theyd say you sold her a sick animal. but if they find out what she did that is cruelty and it would fall on her and would leave you being the one who was in the right telling her to get right home.
 
No you are not wrong! I don't want to be in the car for 1 minute w/out the AC! You really have to wonder about people, poor little guy!
 
You are not wrong to refuse to refund her money. If she has a problem with it, tell her it's against the law to leave an animal in a car in those temps. You could report her for animal cruelty.
 
thats what I was thanking. Just Got off the phone with her and she wants me to sale her a new snake. Like I'm going to sale to her again.
 
Sorry, she has proven to you that she is incapable of taking the proper care for her pet. You have every right to refuse to sell to her. And she should consider herself lucky that you don't report animal cruelty charges against her.
 
Geez!!! Sorry your baby ended up in the hands of a numbskull. You are not to blame and you owe her nothing... except maybe a thrashing. I also don't blame you for not wishing to sell to her again!

That's disgusting. I am so sorry your little baby had to die that way. I traveled with snakes in the car this weekend, and they were all packed exactly as if they were being shipped, only I had the luxury of putting a temp probe in the shipping box to see what was happening. Maybe in the future if you have local pick-ups in the summer, you could do the same thing, (less the thermometer) for a box charge. Maybe we should all be careful to explain to new snake owners the danger of car travel.

We told her the heat requirements and she put it in her purse. Never thought for a second that she'd leave it in the car. She had said she was going straight home which was like 5 mins down the road.

Great Idea! :cheers: We've got the boxes and cold packs, if we'd known that she was going to leave it anywhere w/no AC we'd have insisted the same.
 
def do NOT, give her any type of refund and I agree with the other with reporting her for animal cruelty!!! That's something to take serious. I mean come on, I don't know anyone who would do something that stupid, epically already living in Texas knowing how hot it gets in the car!!
 
Sad day indeed. I couldn't imagine having my little guy die, especially from my own "stupidity". Threaten to call charges if she gives you some crap.
