You have to look at it a minute to absorb what it is saying. It hurts your head.

I’ve heard people on this forum say that business is getting away with too much money and should pay more. Make them responsible for health care etc. Look at payroll taxes and corporate taxes. That is the money business owner’s pay to the gov above a beyond your income tax. If you add payroll and corporate tax together you will see that business is paying in as much as all the taxpayers combined. On top of that the businessman still has to pay personal income tax same as you.

Look at the big ticket spending items. The military, Social Security, and Medicare. The ones everyone likes to complain about. The interest payments on our debt is right up there with the big boys.

Spend a minute looking at that. Think about what it means. Do you know what the number 11 followed by 12 zeros is? 11 times 10 to the twelfth power? Did you learn about numbers that big in school?

Yeah... I'm still trying to figure out how it became the responsibility of BUSINESSES to provide health coverage for their employees. Why not pay the employees more and have them shop around for their own health care coverage. I know SOME people would splurge that extra cash... but others would put it to its proper use... Let's just say, "Personal Responsibility". That seems like a "foul phrase" these days.

Another thing regarding taxes... IF everyone got paid EXACTLY what they earned without taking out taxes and had to pay that from their pocket every year, I bet you more people would complain about our current tax load. If they see that money leaving their wallets for the government, then they'd feel the pain. As it is, out of sight, out of mind.
