I'm making a great DIY my father thought of.

Things you might need...

Book Shelf, Something small like from walmart
Hinges
A Piece of wood you can cut
Plexiglass (3-10 Pieces depending on how many shelves)
A Knob for the plexiglass.

When We get working I'll post some pictures and a tutorial.

You also need:

A way to get the appropriate heat source in there without damaging the wood or the snake.
A way to protect the book case and other wood from potential water damage.
Ventilation holes.
Appropriate tools and knowledge thereof.
Sealant.
A way to keep the front closed.

It seems like this would be similar to my DYI project. Take a look here: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71507

It's been a year and everything still works perfectly. Humidity and temperature are stable and at appropriate levels, the snake was never able to scape (knock on wood), the acrylic still looks crystal clear, cleaning is a breeze (thanks to suggestions from other members), the back panel still looks good, etc.

Good luck with your project. Compared to display vivariums you buy, these DYI projects save you soooooo much money.
