Nigel Marvin on the Tonight show

Link wouldn't work for me.

are you talking about him on Conan? If you, I think he made a complete idiot out of himself...he was way to rough with the animals and kept chasing Conan with animals he was clearly afraid of... very unprofessional IMO.

Jay and his staff tho (who provided the animals) looked very proffesional and I give them props.

That is a FAT retic!

yeah it was, i know alot of people did get bent out of shape over the entire show with the reptiles but you know, its showman ship and that is what the general populace wants to see.

And why get bent out of shape?
One he was calm through out the entire thing and was in control of all the animals. When he got clawed and bitten he did flinch. He was calm, like a professional. I actually laughed at the Mangrove.
To me, he was showing these casual viewers that these animals were not dangerous and should be afraid of them. Now if he was like Dr. Brady Barr and screamed every 5 minutes.. well, thats a different story.

Calm yes...

in control I hardly see that...that mangrove bit him how many times?

The tarantula got away from him repeatedly..

That burm looked ridiculously stressed out, the mangrove looked stressed out and poking the ratsnake on the head over and over was obviously not needed.

This guy is a role model for kids/teenagers, they should have brought tamer animals IMO so this rough handling wouldn't have been "needed".

One, Marvin does not travel with those animals. He was supplied them. You can not blame the man for something like that.
2. I have been bitten countless times by snakes here. Doesn't mean I am not in control of the situation. I do have aggressive snakes here and they do grab me every once in awhile.

To be honest, I do shows myself and I think he did a fairly decent job for what happened.

read post two...Iam full aware he was provided with those animals.

He could have easily grabbed that mangrove behind the head and ended the biting/flailing of the animal.

The animals were freaked out and stressed, that can't be argued. I think stressing the heck out of animals for entertainment is unnecessary.

I have done shows myself as well. I feel the show was a disaster, you feel it wasn't.

Im not argueing with YOU. Iam simply stating my opinion, which does not have to be in line with yours.

Thank you.

The show itself wasn't too bad, IMO. The deal with the mangrove, though, was just stupid. Not only did he take a venomous (rear-fanged or not, it's still venomous!) snake onto the set, but he let it flip around and bite the crap out of him. I don't have too many qualms with the performance, taking into consideration that letting a snake bite the crap out of him may show the world that they aren't evil beings that kill all who come in contact with its teeth, but he could have been a lot more professional with the mangrove...

That aside, I actually laughed through it. Mostly at Conan being a complete wuss, though. =)
