hey everyone- I got a beardie last weekend and a couple of days after i got her, we noticed that she had a dark sore spot on her legs- here are some pics:

we thought that it might be cricket bite but its huge! right now we are giving her a bath in betadine and then purring some neosporin on it. we're keeping the crickets out of her cage and feed her in a separate tub now. I would like to know how serious this is.. can it heal with out going to the vet ( the local reptile vet is only open 2 days a week and they're wiked expensive....)

thank you

i would say cricket bite. or some other kind of wound. id take right to the vet as soon as possible. it could heal up on its own. but my animals dont wait around for sicknesses. especially being so young. dont wanna start off on the bad foot and have something that could be easy to fix now turn into a big problem later.

first thing I think of is yellow fungus but I've not ever seen it cause swelling like that, poor baby needs a vet.
