Oh goody... more herpers in the news...

Yeah, but did you see the size of that one? It looked rather... obese. I also want to know how they weighed it.

I thought so too. I also thought it was interesting seeing that kitten right behind it. I can see where the guy is coming from in the second story. He thought he could be grandfathered in. That's why you always check your local laws. ;)

Yeah, I can definitely understand the second guy. I wonder who reported him?

See, you're better off not letting the neighbors know anything about what you're doing in your house...

Thats one huge snake! I think the second guy should get his snakes back, though. As long as he can get the proper permits and get them chipped, anyway.

It's also rather obese. There's no way a healthy 18 foot burm should weigh more than 200lbs. 30 inches around at the fattest area? That's about as big around as my waist!

I definitely agree about the second guy, though.

very obese. poor snake. and i feel sorry for the second guy. sounds like a good guy just didnt know the laws. they should let him chip them and get permits to get them back, i see no threat in him having 2 burms. if hes had them that long then hes in it for the long haul, no threat to anyone and knows what hes doing.

I'd imagine the 400 pounds was a made-up figure by the news... it sounds more impressive than 200 pounds, and you know they always double things. If 10 people die in a pile up "at least 20" were known to be killed....

Agreed, Nanci... neighbors are too flipping ignorant and inclined to force their views on others. Our neighborhood isn't so bad... it's full of rednecks and other types who mind their own business lest others get involved in theirs... i.e. if they report my snakes, I might be inclined to report the pot smoking that goes on in their backyard.
