Bad food, what can happened?

Hi!

I went for the first time to a local shop to buy pinkies. The shop is near my home and I went there to see what they have and if the mice are ok.

I bought 15pinkies and instead of be nice pink colour they are black and ugly... :awcrap: I wont to buy ONLY pinkies and he gave me an disgusting head of an adult mouse too:puke01: it wasn't on purpose...but he have every kind of frozen mice and rats in the same been. All of the staff I bought was in the refrigerator for log log time...

I was so happy to have a shop that sell f/t mice near my home... And a colleague at work recommend me this shop...Can you imagine the other shops???


I was wandering what are the consequences of feeding a snake with a bad food?Hight risk of regurgitating? digestion problems? And how you can recognize them?

BTW I will not feed my snake with that bad food, I have still enough good pinkies in my refrigerator and the next week I will went to buy some more fresh frozen pinkies :) I have to drive more then 1 hour to get them but they are fresh and nice and tasty :eatsmiley
 
You really do need the best quality food you can find for your snakes....
We normally get food from a rodent farm and it's always good quality, but recently a friend of ours changed over to a supplier that would deliver...
He has had the first regurges of the year since he started feeding these pinks.... They looked slightly below par so I guess it was down to them being below standard....
 
I have a good quality of food, I buy it from people that have snakes and they bread the mice for them selves and sell the extra. But I want to see if I can find some good food in the near, but unfortunately I can't...

After seeing this bad food I was wandering what can happened if you feed a snake with non quality food. Regurgitate was my first thought.
 
I got some like that at a show. I thought they looked funny, but they were vacuum packed. When I opened it up, the pinks were all an icky gray color. I threw away 25 pinks and 25 fuzzies...
