an idea for a custom viv

i have an idea of how to make a cheap sturdy viv...
tell me what you think (pros and cons)
i get a cheap second hand bookshelf of the right size, i take out all the shelves and turn it on its side. then (maybe recycling the shelves) i put a small piece of wood along the bottom (meaning the substate doesnt fall out when i open it). then i put runners in it, get 2 pieces of strong perspex and use em as sliding doors. then all that is needed is a hole for the light, ventilation holes, and bobs your uncle a cheapish viv.
tell me what u think plz

It sounds ok. Bu is going to be pritty big isn't it?????

Im doing/done something very simulr to that. Ihave got a bookshelf and lets the shelves IN and left in the RIGHT WAY UP and put seperate doors infront of each conpartment to I have lots of vivs (4).

Good Luck

Alex

Will it be deep enough? I had this idea but most bookshelves are less than a foot deep. Maybe a chest of drawers might be more suitable? Im considering doig this in the future.

there is a second hand place near me, so i will go and look there to see if there is anything that will work..
cheers for the link :D
