Well i'm bout to get my Reverse Okeetee, and I have a couple questions, hell, I've had alot of questions,
Anyway
What's the best way to pickup/hold the snake?
how often do I feed him (he's 6 weeks old) ?
How do I know if he needs more food?

What's the best way to pickup/hold the snake?
This kind of depends on your snake, but most are fine with you just reaching in a picking them up.
how often do I feed him (he's 6 weeks old)?
This depends on the size food item he is on. If he is still on pinkys, then you can feed him every 5-7 days. If he is on fuzzies, then once a week is sufficient. As they become adults, they can be fed every 7-10 days depending on the size food item and the actual metabolism of the snake. I have a couple of adults that I cannot feed more than every two weeks, because they put on weight very easily.
How do I know if he needs more food?
Just keep him on a regular schedule. That way you will always know when he needs more food. Some may or may not eat during a shedding cycle, however. And if it is indeed a male, then he may eat less during breeding season once he is sexually mature.
 
FWIW, years ago, when things were looser, some friends of mine went to SC to hunt the Okeetee area. When they came back, they said it was pronounced Oh-kuh-TEE with most accent on the final syllable and some accent on the first syllable.

I prefer to approach snakes with my hand on their level if possible when picking them up. Coming straight down on them is the sort of thing a predator does. It scares the snake.

Everybody has questions when starting out. I know I'd have killed for access to forums like this one when I was starting. OTOH, you shouldn't confine yourself just to these forums. Bill and Kathy Love's The Corn Snake Manual will give you a more organized grounding in corn snake husbandry than just asking questions will. I'd have killed for that book when I was starting out, too. :)
