Is it really bad to handle ....

after 24 hours of feeding....He is going to the top of the cage as he does when he wants out. He hates going back in after a handle. Thoughts?

Yep. Mine get at least 48 usually more like 72 hours to digest. The last thing you want is a regurge, so just let him chill for another day or 2 before you play with him at all. And wanting out does not mean he wants to be handled. I think all mine would make a break for it, if given the chance...

I'll have to agree with Josh here... even though it looks like they want out, they really do need to just sit still to digest. Maybe the top of his cage is where he wants to sit and chill for digestion.

You don't want a regurge... sometimes little snakes don't recover... I've lost several to regurge and it is almost a living hell.

Only thing you should do is just move him from the feeding tub to the cage. Leave him there for at least 24 hours. If I try to handle him too soon, my snake leaves his mark on my hand. Yay.

but thats only if you use a feeding tub....

I have to agree with everyone else, a handle before 24 hours afterwards could cause a regurge. I usually wait 48 hours just to be safe.

I'm not going to blow up like pepper. but could you please make your title a little more specific? Not trying to get on you about anything, but i really couldn't tell what this thread was about.....

Hope this post helps, since i was repeating what everyone else said in this thread.....

Well he does want out but don't interpret it as he wants to be handled. He's probably looking for a way to escape not to be handled. So just secure his cage and let him be for 48hours.
