Back from the dead
LOL ok had to get your attention.. Actually my new snake Mago is going through his first shed. He is in the phase where his eyes are a foggy blue, and hasn't actually started shedding. I put a water bowl on the warm side of the tank to add humidity. I was just wondering what else I should do to make sure the shed goes well. I heard about putting a container in the cage with a damp cloth inside of it, but I don't know if that is necessary or even advisable. Please help.. thanx.

when my snake gets ready to shed i just put a tub in the tank for it with some damp paper towels inside it and i put in the hot end and it raises humidity very good and my snake sheds with no problem oh and about the cloth i cant give you an anser to that because i only use paper towels.

Chances are the shed will go fine .. most do. Putting the water bowl on the warm side is a good plan though :D

All my corns have all ways had perfect sheds with out me adding anything to the viv or helping them. My Ball Python had a bad shedthe first time I got her. So the second time she shed, I put second water bowl over the heatmat and she was fine. I do this every time my Ball Python goes into shed. The corns are always fine.
Im sure yours wil be too.

Cheers

Alex
