Yep - they are a lovely bunch of people ...
reminds me of a story my father told me about fox hunting in the uk...
There are two ways its done - a live hunt (which I abhor btw) and a drag hunt which is where you lay out a trail with something suitably stinky with the idea that the dogs catch the scent and chase as they usually would but nothing gets hurt..
Seems that this was a drag hunt, as all the hunts done by that group were (they were quite forward thinking) - and everything was going swimmingly - until hunt protesters started causing hassle and more than one was kicking at the dogs and generally being utterly unpleasant...
Someone my father knew wasnt the most even tempered bloke when it came to animals being abused and moving his horse behind the rest of them - gave it a good long run up and came at these idiots at full gallop... of course, even PETA-ist idiots have a sense of self preservation so, seeing a ton of horse bearing down on them they legged it for their vehicle - piled in and floored it.
Sadly their headlong rush scared a fox out of the hedge - which they promptly flattened with a large & very rusty Granada Coupe.... Irony much?
Oddly enough they were never seen again around the area... strange that isnt it...
I have very little time for those people who trumpet their animal welfare credentials and yet do more damage than good... not to mention the rabid veges/vegans who yabber on about how eating meat is evil, farmers are evil and cruel ad nauseous.... my grandfather put it well...
"You'll get very little money from looking after cattle perfectly, but you'll get sweet b***** all if you dont...."
Its in a farmers best interests that his animals are healthy and cared for.
