Rogue the amazingly red house snake NEW ADDITION today!

whippet

Tara
So the show in Reading PA was not quite what anyone expected...more of a pet expo than the reptile show it was advertised as.
But I found a few things I would have taken home...a lovely albino blood python was a temptation...but it did not come home THIS time.
But this lovely bright red house snake just had too! Cute as pie!
Meet Rogue!

What a beautiful red snake! I don't know anything about them, but it sounds like you got quite a find. Can't wait to see the progression thread on him.

Gorgeous pickup!! I am very jealous of all your beautiful critters.....you guys are so fortunate to be able to have so many! :D

House snakes are one of my favorite species- you should join the lamprophis forum!

We both work very hard so that our pets can have a great life. ;)

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

Our other housesnake is named Wraith. I named them after the X-Wing squadrons in the Star Wars novel series.

Lauren, I know that this is off topic, but I take LOTS of comfort knowing that I'm not the only one to have read some of those books. :)

Back on topic... I guess I know the answer to my previously unspoken question... "Did they mean 'Rogue' or 'Rouge'. With the snake being so RED, it works both ways! :)

The other thing I thought of when naming her is the white stripes along her face reminded me of Rogue from X-Men.
