Your Favourite Snake

I'm curious: out of your whole collection, which snake is your favourite and why?

I love all of my snakes, but the one I feel most connected to is definitely Ariadne, my classic corn. She was my first snake and will always hold a special place for me. I generally find the presence of animals to be soothing, but she has some mysterious ability to clear my mind like no one else, human and animal alike.

Vanay, my mystery creature, is by far my favorite snake. He's very beautiful, though a complete spazz.

I just got my second corn (and snake) today, but I think my first will always be kind of special.

My favorite snake is Jasmine my King Ratsnake (Elaphe carinata carinata). These snakes are the most powerful and amazing snakes in the entire world. The amount of contraversy that surrounded me getting her was pretty funny. And its the fact that until you work with a king rat you have no idea what you are talking about. She is very smart and shows identification skills between different people. One of the most amazing snakes in the world....besides the fact it could kill and eat any corn snake :sidesstep:

Ratsnake and "the most powerful" don't really go hand in hand when you begin checking out the true constrictors of the herp world :dgrin:

My very favourite... yes, it has to be Phoenix( it is nigh impossible to take photos of this dude unless I pick him up! Then he starts posing)

Nice look'in "bad ass" snake!!

King Rats besides being powerful constrictors have very powerful jaws. I love king rats!

Indigos for sheer jaw strength. Scary!

King rats do have a very similar jaw strength. They are both similar in behavior!

Maybe Anne. She was my first very expensive purchase (too bad I learned to top her! Eek) She is fat and happy and sweet...and she had a rough non-feeding start but after I got her going...she doesnt miss meals now!

This is a tough question to answer.

I think I would have to say that Reggie is my special favorite. He's my first, my oldest, has shown the most personality, easiest to handle, and he simply cracks me up sometimes! He's certainly the "most boring" snake in my small collection if you're talking morphs, and he serves no purpose for any future breeding plans, but that doesn't matter much to me just because he's my Reggie.



That said, I don't want to sound as though I like my other snakes less... if that makes sense. Una is my favorite because she is my never-thought-I'd-ever-have-her snake. Tatl is my favorite because she's a total spitfire spaz that keeps me on my toes. Tael is my favorite because he has a near-perfect banding pattern and is a hardy eater. It's all in how I look at it. LOL!
