Swollen Eye?

K. Rene

A few months ago our Sunglow Raya's left eye got very swollen for no apparent reason, I assumed that she must have poked her eye on something sharp in the viv and after inspecting everything I found nothing that could have done the damage. The swelling went down and she has since had several sheds that each made they eye puff up a little, but it would go back to normal in no time.
But tonight my BF got her out and we noticed her eye was very swollen again. Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this, is there anything we can do besides take her to the vet? and if we do take her to a vet will they be able to do anything? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

I think there was a thread about this recently - will try to find it. Was quite long and might give you some ideas.

it could be a bedding issue, if she is on a pine or very sappy plant bedding.
sometimes i know they can be allergic to certain woods as well, or even plant pollens. see if maybe switching bedding and misting it down to keep dust to a min helps.
Ive had a snake with allergies before :p
