Rest time for males

Once a good copulation has occured, how long of a rest before trying again with the same or a different female?

I would say let them take a rest for at least 5 days. But I usally leave my amel off for a week. But then this year my amel hasn't been successful yet.........I really hope that the female hypo would let him 'do it' ..........:(
