Cracked knuckles?

Ok not knuckles.

My baby male amel, Felix, retained about an inch and a half of shed on his tail. I ran it under some tap water and gently pinched it and rolled it off. As I was doing this however, I could feel his tail cracking, like when cracking your knuckes. Anyone else ever experience this? He didn't seem like he was uncomfortable or anything.

I too can not tell you why it happens but I have a few that crack and others that do not. Those that do crack sometimes will crack a bit when just slithering through my fingers and other times only if I stretch them out or apply a bit of tension.

It's just strength in their tail, though that far down is mostly skin and bone. My okeetee hangs on for dear life with her tail, and I always feel that when I remove her tail from somewhere (like my nose -_-' ).
