deformed jaw and shedding

I've had an adult rat(?) snake since august that has a deformed jaw. I was told his jaw has been deformed for as long as the previous owners had owned which i'm pretty sure was since he was a hatchling/small. He cant close one side if his mouth all the way so it just droops down. It doesn't seem to bother him as far as eating goes, however he shed for the first time in my possession 2 days ago and bled from the deformed area of his jaw...should i be concerned about this? his shed was otherwise normal
