Is my snake sick?

Hey guys,


I noticed a dark patch on Monty's belly when handling him today.
I am a total snake noob, so I am not sure if its a bad sign or normal.

The main big black spot is I think where he poops, if I hope him up to the light I can see his veins and insides all suddenly stop where the black spot is

Is it just poop inside him? or is that something else?

I also noticed a not nearly as big or dark patch about 1/3 into his body from the head.

He's eating and drinking lots. very active in the viv now, constantly exploring all over.

I wasnt able to take a picture of it, but I can try if needed.


Ideas?

I just fed him, so I try not to disturb him for a day or so after.

I don't even know where he is in his viv atm lol

I'm sure its just poop or maybe the organs showing thru....well what type of snake is he?

He's a hatchling motley albino.

I will get pictures of the spots asap.

I would think you're seeing either the organs or like you said the poop.
I wouldn't fret about it...yet.

The dark spot about 1/3 down from his head is likely his heart! :D

With a white belly you can see lots of the internal workin's, especially in lighter coloured morphs. Sounds pretty normal to me - and watch out for the dark patch near his rear end as I suspect you'll be getting a "deposit" shortly!
