Rather be safe, then sorry...

The only time I ever had Dallas not go to the bathroom after I fed him was when he was about to shed.

Well I fed Dallas on Wednesday 1/5, and he normally goes to the bathroom the following Monday night or Tuesday morning. In which he has not done yet (it is now Thursday 1/13).

So I figured I'd try feeding him again the following Wednesday 1/12 in hopes he would go to the bathroom around then.

If by some chance he does not go to the bathroom by Monday, I will make a vet appointment. Also I will not feed him until he poops again.

Besides exercise and maybe bathing him, is there anything else that may help him go boom boom?

By the way Dallas is fed every 7 days, and last time he weighed in was on 12/29 at 279 grams (18 months old). I'm sure by this time he's up to or close to 300 grams. So I'm going to extend his feeding schedule to every 10 days.

I appreciate anyone's input that may help me out. Thanks a bunch!!! :)

Oh and the last time he shed was around Christmas time. So I don't know if he's about to shed again, nor do I see any signs. I'm sure it's too early for that....

If he's going blue, he might be holding it. Ten days is fine for a 300g snake. I wouldn't get overly worried about him yet.

Well still no poop, it will be 3 weeks tomorrow. I am starting to get more worried. I've tried soaking him in warm water and exercising him. Nothing seems to work.

If he does not go by this weekend I will make a vet appointment. What can they really do though? Has anyone had this issue before, and what is the longest your snake has waited to go poop?

He doesn't seem like he's going to shed soon...I'm just use to him consistently pooping unless he's about to shed (and meaning that he's about to go blue or is in the blue phase).

Sorry for being like this, I just love my little guy... :(

Sarah, is Dallas acting like normal? Is he being less active...maybe because of Winter?

Honestly he acts the same. I've seen him out and about some mornings when I wake up, and as soon as I turn the light on he goes in to hiding. When I do bring him out to get a little exercise he moves around the same, nothing unusual. He eats and drinks fine, just no poop... :(

The temp on the cool side is between 73-75 and the warm side is between 86-88.

i've had this too once but the poo was just really well hidden. Have you cleared the viv completely, substrate and all? Also has he peed since the last time he pooped? I believe i read somewhere that snakes can't poo and pee separately, so if there's poo in his body and he pees it would come out also. or maybe you just didn't notice the poo under the pee?

I can tell he hasn't gone when I look at his bottom portion of his body he looks and feels a bit squishy. Normally he's fit and more slim if that makes any sense. I've randomly checked his viv for any poop/pee, but no luck. And trust me when I say when he goes...he leaves a fairly large present for me to clean up!!!

hmm i get what you mean with the bottom part of his body being thicker, my snake has that too the day before he poops. Did you went to the vet already? (not saying you should or shouldn't go to the vet)

You said he looks bigger towards his bottom and it's squishy, if it's squishy I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's when it starts getting hard that can be a problem. I've seen one snake that had that issue and the area right before his vent became very swollen, but a vet visit never hurts. He may have parasites which could be blocking him up.

He's a little bit bigger towards the bottom, but not by very much & he's still a little squishy. Just like what he normal does before he has to go poop. This is just very puzzling especially when he still acts normal? How would he get these parasites? I mean I clean his bedding every 3-4 months along with spot cleaning?...

Just to give everyone an update....after 2 baths today and a vigorous workout (took breaks, didn't want to stress him too much) Dallas finally took the biggest (meanest lol) poop. Seriously it looked like the cat pooped in the tub. Thanks to everyone for all your help and concerns! I feel so much better now, well....I'm sure not as much as Dallas! :)
