My pal ate at last.....

Cindy

Cornographer
I know it is minor to you experienced keepers but I got my first corn snake six weeks ago and s/he would not eat....New place. s/he wouldn't eat....... went pale and milky (I thought s/he was heading to snake heaven) s/he had a shed cycle - phew ....(understandable s/he wouldn't eat,) it is spring.... another reason for an anorexic phase..... Not that I was worried...no.... I was sure I done something horrrid to stress he/r out and she was dying (do finger nails ever grow back??)

Tonight - Hooray (much clapping and trumpet blowing) she ate....
Take heart people with problem eaters they will, if all is well.

This is the best high I have had since I quit smoking......(off topic advertisment for Zyban)

Thanks all for your support x

I'm certain we're more stressed than the snake! Mine eats no matter what, but I still worry that the temps are right, is she laying in a warm enough spot to digest, did I feed her too large a mouse, how do you do the Heimlich on a snake if it is too large....the list goes on.
