Hello I'm searching for a pet toad! I use to have a small male western toad for a number of years.. he passed away a while ago and I really do miss him. Western toads are some of my favorite amphibians. However I am having the most difficult time finding them around here, as their populations are dwindling, and I also don't feel comfortable taking them from the wild since they are becoming scarce. I know in other areas they are still plentiful so I'm looking for a WC or CB western toad (Anaxyrus boreas)

Thanks!

The wanted add isn't really needed any more. Feel free to remove it if you would like (:

Thanks!

Toads are cool, but they can be noisy as heck lol. My friend Clint set a few up once, man the males were loud. But they were neat, and loved to eat :)

Western Toads are nice because they don't really have a noticeable call and if they do call it's just a series of rather quiet chirps. However, if you pick him up he gets mad and sounds like my dog's squeak toy!
