I just heard that the ball python industry has had a new break through morph... a leucistic! Although the thread bashed us corn breeders a bit (link to the thread (http://forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=479753,481133) )......
95 [ball python] clutches is nothing to sneeeze at! Anyone can breed 400 corns. Whoo-pee. But to get close to 500 Ball Python eggs? That's just insane. Especially when 95% of them are NOT normals. <P>
(and this one really tickles me pink too...)
<P>
But to me, there are degrees of easieness to get eggs. If someone got 200 boeleni eggs one season and another guy got 20,000 corn or beardie or leo gecko eggs, I would say the boeleni breeder had a more accomplished year. Just my opinion, you don't have to agree.
..... the discovery of a new gene is always exciting, even if it isn't our specie.
