Snake fasting?

So I have had my snake for a bit over a month now and the first two times he ate he went straight for it with no hesitatioin the second two times I fed him he would eat it in his feeding container after I left him in there for a while or If I left the pinky in his tank. last weeking I noticed he was "blue" so I skiped feeding. Well he has been out of blue for a few days but not shed. I tried feeding today and he would press his face agaisnt the mouse but then just not eat it. Could this be because he is still waiting to shed or something else I should be looking for?

I generally wait until after the shed to even introduce food. Too many wasted mice. If temps are correct, I bet he'll eat right away once he gets out of that old skin.

Once the skin clears the shed will follow and feeding just before can cause regurges in young snakes. In fact the face rubbing may be the snake trying to start the shed off
