Non-online places to get frozen feeders?

I'm getting a baby rat snake this week, and he's eating f/t mouse fuzzies. I won't be able to make it to the expo until November, that's where I usually get my mice, and I don't want to pay $25 shipping, so where else can I get mice in person? I guess Petsmart's arctic mice, but they're not supposed to be very good. Would he be okay eating petsmart's mice for a month until I get Rodent Pro's? Thanks.

I work at petsmart and I know the price is crazy ($10.99 for 6 fuzzies) but we have to feed our snakes on that mice and the grow find. There price is high and its common to have broken lims in the bag and the size in the box varies (some pinkies are small while some are huge) but if its just a month I think it will be fine.

Any other reptile shops in your area? They probably sell frozen mice. I'd just call first and ask which company they use to stock their supply before you decide.

I just put "columbus ohio reptile shops" into google's search field and came up with a few options.

Anerybee - first google to find if there is a locale reptile club near you and if there is check there for someone raising mice. Also, craigslist under pets you might be able to find someone breeding mice locally.

The next best thing then is to google "feeder mice" and find the closest breeder to you so shipping will cost less.

what i did was call the vendors for my show to get prices and found that one of them lived a few blocks away. may you be so lucky.
