Digestion and feeding

How big/old is Ceasar and what are you feeding him now?

The general rule is to feed a food item that is 1.5 times the width of the largest part of the snake, until the snake starts eating adult mice. By then the snake should be just about full grown and you are feeding for maintenance not growth and you do not continue to increase prey size.

If it doesn't leave a bump in his belly for 24-48 hours after eating, then it could be time to try the next size of food up. As above, I go by a rough guide of 1.5 times the width of the body (not the head or neck).

According to the "Munson" plan, which is a rather aggressive feeding plan, he should be on 1 pink per feeding per his weight. I would try feeding every 5 days for a few feedings to up his weight before trying to offer double pinks.

Could be a stout porker! Something the munson plan doesn't usually consider is the proportion of the weight. We all know snakes grow differently, some length before girth while others bulk up pretty heft before sprouting in length. Just bringing it up because if it's a more stout snake, 1.5 could be smaller fuzzies.
