brown scales

4 days ago i got a snake( champagne snow stripe) and it had some brown on its back. i out it away thinking nothing of it and let it alone for 3 days untill he spilled his water. when i had him out cleaning it up i got a better look at it. its in between the scales and 1 of them apears to be up lifted. is this scale rot?( sorry for the bad pic best i could do with camera phone)

forgot to mention it doesnt apear to be painful for him when i touch the area

It just looks like an abrasion to me, where he may have been rubbing himself on something. I'd just wait until next shed and see if it is gone. :)

thanks for the response. i'll check up on him in a couple of days more when he seems more comfortable and keep the thread updated.
