Shedding Question

My little baby Kyoshi's eyes went blue about four days ago and I've been watching him carefully, as I'm pretty sure this is going to be his first shed. Here's my question, though - I was under the impression that once his eyes cleared it would only be a day or two at most before he shed. He's been clear for about three days and there's no sign at all of shedding. Should I be worried, or just leave him be for a while yet? Is there something I should do to help him? Maybe like increase the humidity up a bit more (currently I keep the tank around 50% depending, we live in NC so our ambient humidity has been a bit weird with the heat and storms).

Usually the shedding process takes about 10-12 days. I would expect the snake to shed within 12-24 hours of clearing, 48 at the most.

Is the snake active? If not- he's not ready to shed.

If he is active, have you lost the shed in the viv somewhere? Buried under the aspen or wrapped around the water bowl?

My snake has shed twice while in my care, and both times it took up to seven days AFTER his eyes cleared up to actually shed.

No, since he's still a baby I've got him in a smaller 10g tank until he grows a little and while I had him out today I had my husband hold him and I checked everywhere and it's definitely not there anywhere. Judging by what you and others have said, I'm just being impatient though so hopefully he'll shed in the next few days. :)

By clear, I mean, the snake is no longer detectably blue at all, and is out and active, and you think- oh, he shed!! But you can't find the shed.

I've read plenty, that it usually is within 48 hours of entering the clear phase. However, my girl has always waited 3-4 days! It's usually right after I start to worry. ;) So, expect yours to shed any moment now.

Hey guys how often do corns shed?? Ive had mine for mayb two to three months
He shedded once already n his eyes r getting gloomy again n hes been hiding all day n nite.

I believe it's based more on size/growth than on a timespan. If you're feeding weekly or every 4-5 days, and he's growing steadily, then that seems like it's a bit of a long stretch between sheds... but, I could be wrong - I am a new snake owner, but what I've read seems to say that it should be a bit faster as they're growing.

Ok ya i got worried cuz he wasnt moving at all till i lifted up his hide
Hes blind right now so he prolly didnt see me through the glass

I live in NC as well, Asheville. My rootbeer Ghost went blue and then clear and took nearly a darn week after that to shed, it wasn't normal for him, but hey they can be a little weird sometimes.
