Tucson Banded Gecko

A friend of mine found what we can only believe is a Tucson Banded Gecko (she found it while in arizona) anyway since this is a wild breed and she has her heart set on keeping it, we're having trouble finding care sheets. If anyone knows anything about this or any other closely related gecko any info will be appreciated. thanks!

According to my Stebbins Field Guide, the banded gecko is chiefly a rock dweller, ranging from creosote bush flats to pinon-juniper belt, and from catclaw to chaparral areas. Some range in areas that are barren dunes. They feed on insects and spiders. Usually they are nocturnal, and are therefore limited in distribution by low night temperatures. Banded Geckos differ from most geckos in having movable eyelids and slender toes.Tuscon banded decko, C.v.bogerti has 8 or more preanal pores in males, dark body bars equal to or narrower than interspaces. Bars with light centers or replaced by spotting, light collar mark indistict. Sounds like they need hot dry habitat. It says that although they appear delicate this lizard is able to live in extremely dry parts of the desert because of it's nocturnal and subterranean habits. Hope this helps some.

Glad it was a help. I don't know about calcium needs that many lizards have. I suppose as a wild lizard, they get their needs from the insects they eat. You might try to contact a reptile specialist at one of the zoos maybe for further needs.
