Is something wrong with my corn's tail?

I have a question. My corn is about a year and a half old, and she's always shed perfectly. However, about a year ago, the tip of her tail got really hard and about two millimeters of it fell off. I looked it up and came to the conclusion that she had shed improperly and I've paid close attention to her sheds since. However, the tip of her tail got hard again. I've tried everything from soaking her in lukewarm water and providing her humidity hides when she's in blue. The hardness is about 3-4 millimeters long, and it's not discolored. It's been like this for about 6 months. She seems perfectly normal: eating and drinking like normal, curious as always. She doesn't mind when I touch her tail tip either, which I do when I try to rub a moist towel against it to see if any skin will come off.

I guess my long rant is this: are corn tails supposed to be like this or is it old skin yet again? I haven't been too concerned since she's acting perfectly normal and there's no discoloration on her tail tip, which I've heard is a sign of restricted blood flow. Anyway, thanks so much!

Her are some photos of her tail tip:

And her last shed, which looks whole to me. It's a little ripped at the end because it was stuck to the side of her tank:

The shed looks likes the full tip is there and if there's no discoloration I wouldn't be to worried, it'll get that dull brown look to it if its old shed that's dried and hardened.
