Saraphine-Coral Snow-originally from SMR X Cinaed-RF Tessera het Cayenne Fire, produced by Colorado Corns

The first photo is of the Dam-Saraphine.
The next two are of Cinaed when he first came to me, & the last one is a recent photo of Cinaed.

I wanted to get a really nice male Tessera from this pairing, to pair back to the Dam, to see what I could produce.
I'd like to hold back a couple of the babies, to continue this project. I see the RF influence in a number of the babies, & they haven't shed yet. (They've just begun to start shedding.)

I will post better photos of each of the babies after they all shed, but I wanted to share them now. :)

They hatched Sept 30th.

Saraphine laid 30 eggs, 4 of those were slugs.
The remaining 26 eggs all hatched.

The final tally:
4 Amel Tessera's
6 Normal Tessera's
14 Amel's
2 Normals

They did not want to sit still for photos.

I hope to get more photos taken & uploaded before this coming weekend, but I will be leaving for Tinley on Friday, & might not get to it until after my trip.

I didn't get around to taking better pix before my trip, & I just offered their first meal tonight, so it will be a few days or so before I am able to take more pix of these babies.

On another note, 20-21 have eaten their first meal offered! So far, I have 5 hold outs, & one more that I miss counted pinks & had to thaw out one more, so I'll check in a bit to see if that one eats.
One of the normal Tessera's is a holdout, the other holdouts are normal Amels. (Possibly one Normal, the one I fed last). I'm very happy that 9 out of 10 Tessera's ate their first meals!

1st feeding update: I just checked, before going to bed. All but 2 of the Amel's ate their first meal! (24 out of 26 babies ate their first meal!)

I weighed, sexed, cleaned, and took more photos of all of the babies today. It might take me a couple days to get pix cropped and resized, but I'm pretty happy with the apparent outcome. I'll sex the supposed females a couple more times over the next few weeks, before any of the babies are made available.
I want to get more meals in them and at least one more shed. I'm definitely seeing RF influence in some of the babies, and I'm looking forward yo seeing the progression on these babies.

I'm still cleaning cages, I will feed when I'm done.

Fingers crossed that I have another successful feeding night.

Here's the 10 Tessera babies. Intial sexing, it appears to be 14 females and 12 males. I'll recheck a couple times over the next couple months.

I'm posting dorsal/ventral shots of each one, so this will take several posts to get all 10.

T1 (female?) and T2 (male)

Some of the photos are better than others. These guys are not easy to photograph! LOL

I offered their second meal last night, & 24 out of 26 ate (had the same number of eater last time)
This time, one of them was a repeat non-eater, & the other was one that ate the first meal, but not the second. One that refused first meal did eat the second meal, so overall, I think it's pretty successful!
The ones that are not eating are all regular Amels.

I'll post the regular Amels & Normals as well.

A21 (female?) and A22 (male)

**Both of these two are going to be available. Both are showing decent borders. I don't know if they would be considered RO's, but they are going to be striking! They are both showing a hint of RF, but not strong, so it might not be RF, it might just be very saturated coloring.

A23 (female?) *this one appears to maybe look RO-ish...we shall see :) **This one is a holdback for now, but might be available down the road**
and A24 (male) **A24 will be available**

The two Normal babies of the clutch.
N25 (female?) and N26 (male)
N25 is not showing RF like N26 is, but the borders on him/her are very pretty!!
N26 is definitely a holdback, but N25 might become available.

I will be periodically weighing and taking pics of the babies.

I hope you enjoy them! :)

Wow, that is a lot of babies! I love T2, A23, and N26. It really looks like there's some RF influence.

MysticExotics

Thank you! T2 and N26 are two I intend to hold back for sure.
Many of the babies will be available after they've had another shed and more meals.

Thank you Chet! I'm really looking forward to seeing them grow up as well! I was very please with how Cinaed progressed, I have high hopes for these babies!

Some of the babies are starting their second shed.

I will be making some of them available in the near future. I will list those available. Possibly new pics, if I have time to take them.
All of the ones that will be available have eaten every meal offered to them (five so far, some may get fed meal #6 today of they're not blue yet).

I am holding several back initially, to see progression. I will be making more available down the road.

The ones I am going to be making available fairly soon are:
(I have noted them out in the individual photos)

T6-male Tessera
T8-male Tessera
T10-male Tessera
A14-female(?) Amel (appears to have RF influence)
A20-male Amel
A21-female(?) Amel
A22-male Amel
A24-male Amel
*I've only sexed them once. I will recheck later in the week.

I was planning on feeding today, or tomorrow, but since some are looking like they're going into shed, I might just hold off on feeding for a week. I don't want 26 refused pinkies. LOL

I will be creating a for sale thread on them, but if there are any that you are interested in, email me at MysticExotics@gmail.com, let me know which one(s) you are interested in and we can work out a deal.
For example, I will be offering a free Amel with the purchase of a Tessera.

Unfortunately, this batch of available babies are male heavy, so the first two who purchase a Tessera will get a 1.1 pair (if the sexes are correct **I need to recheck them**)

All of the babies with exception of one have gone to new homes.

Sol-Sunglow Tessera (Red Factor Amel-het Anery ph Bloodred) (SAR-13-AT2) is the one I kept. He is turning out fabulous!
(he's in shed, in this photo)
