Gartersnake x Starling

Status: Decided not to breed them this season

SMR Okeetee Tessera and Strange Cargo Extreme Okeetee (daughter of Halloween Okeetee)

Expecting Okeetees- some Tesseras, some not! The Tessera gene often makes "regular" animals with a Tessera parent even prettier, for some reason.

Gator x Hyacinth

Status: Holding off till 2015

Expecting Plasmas and Plasma Stripes.

Maybe, if Zeph is old enough to breed...and Lily has slugged out in two previous breedings, with the same male. Was it her? Was it him?

Zeph x Lily

Status: too much other stuff going on, I'm giving Zeph another year to grow.

Male: Tesseral het Diffused, Lavender

Female: Plasma ( Diffused, Lavender )

Phenotype:

1 / 8 Tessera Lavender het Diffused
1 / 8 Tessera Diffused het Lavender
1 / 8 Tessera het Lavender, Diffused
1 / 8 Tessera Plasma ( Diffused, Lavender )

1 / 8 Lavender het Diffused
1 / 8 Diffused het Lavender
1 / 8 Normal het Lavender, Diffused
1 / 8 Plasma ( Diffused, Lavender )

**additionally, Zeph is possible heterozygous Amel, Anery, Hypo AND Stripe!

The F2 should have lots of surprises in store!

Nix x Buzztail

Status: 5 gorgeous Tesseras, and 7 beautiful bloodreds! AVAILABLE!

Male: Diffused het Hypo, Lavender (possible het amel caramel)

Female: Diffused het Anery

Phenotype:

1/2 Diffused Tessera 50% poss het. Lavender, Anery, Hypo

1/2 Diffused 50% poss het. Lavender, Anery, Hypo

Nix's breeding season finished up in time for him to squeeze in one more mate, so Buzztail is off to the south for a honeymoon! I am excited by the prospect of bloodred Tesseras, but the "plain" bloodred babies will have awesome het genes, too!

Those look like some really exciting pairings Nanci! I think some of my snake budget for next year is going to Florida!

I think I might probably do the Pinstripe Miami Motley pairing again, too. They seemed pretty popular!

*edit- I did proceed with this breeding and Loco and Zora are actively mating right now.

Nanci...I may have to send some bank roll your way this season! I always love what you produce!!

Oh and to add, I think the first pairing that is a maybe is a great one personally!

All of these are stunning plans!

For what it's worth, I could quite probably be talked into a baby from Heart Attack x Mingo. A boy baby from that outcome would be a potential good match for one, maybe two of my girls. (Namely, Roxy... Peppermint 66% ph. Lavender)

I would also buy a Heart attack X Mingo baby of either gender or maybe a pair.

Buzztail is just wow! Was she a little tail rattler? How is her temperament?
I've always liked your Hyacinth. I'm very interested in her offspring. I hope I can get a peek at her when I come to pick up my babies.

I also like your Cinder.

Buzztail has always been a rattler. She is a guaranteed bite at feeding time. She will strike at any movement from the time I go to open her bin until the time she is replaced. She's just hungry! Even yesterday her two expected strikes made my hair stand on end! She didn't get me, though :-) Her previous owner, Katie, was a little intimidated by her.

If it's not feeding day, and she isn't hungry, she is very pleasant and handleable, just like any other cornsnake.

Are you still planning to pair Gartersnake and Starling? I would be interested in being on the list for a tessera.

Buzztail just might be the most beautiful corn snake I have ever seen. I would love to have a dark red corn, I am sure her babies will be stunning!

I just got back into corns after a long hiatus. I'll be pairing my amel and my blizzard this year. Will be working on 2nd generation blizzards from this pairing. I just love the all white snakes! These two are in pre-molt right now. Will be pairing them soon.

Also be hooking my amel up with my normal as well, just for fun. Just waiting for her to molt, abs fir the first pairing to be complete. My male amel is going to be busy! Been over 15 years since I last bred corns.

How are things going, Nanci? Are your breeders in the mood, yet? I'm just Stunned by hyacinth! What in the world is she?!

Nanci
03-26-2014, 09:23 PM
Hyacinth is a plasma stripe. Bred by me, owned by Carol Huddleston. She may be starting to get in the mood...

Zora has bred SIX times. An unplanned pair, Squirrel and Chipmunk, have bred three times. Mingo is not in the mood. To Daviano is not in the mood. Those are all I've been trying.

I hope she is, I've been wanting a plasma stripe for quite awhile now and was excited when I saw this pairing. Maybe if you put on some jazz music it might help her out? ;)

Sorry, I'm in the wrong thread, somehow!
