Are you a worm?

Found this freaky thing in my snake's water bowl. It's red/brown and is motionless(drowned if ever alive).
I was wondering if this is a worm. The vivarium has a lot of red and brown fake leaves and branches so i still didn't hit the panic button. Ideas?

Looks like fake moss to me
^^^^^Ditto, or some kind of fiber. It looks to kinky to be a worm.
I'm gunna say moss as well :P if you've ever had sphagnum moss... that stuff can get everywhere when it's dry!

Looks like moss to me, too. You can always stick it in a jar and save it for the next time you go to the vet.

It's feathery like moss too upon closeup, but I'd second Nanci's idea. If you do end up needing a vet visit, that would be incredibly handy to have available for inspection.

Upon further inspection of the plastic branch that has fake green moss on it, i noticed some "strands" of moss are actually red. I hope you guys are right. I put it in a safe spot for now and will check with vet when i visit.
Thanks alot guys. I honestly appreciate all the support i get here and its never something you get used to. It never fails to bring a smile to my face.
:) Anyhoo, will keep an eye open.
