Tiny :/

I weighed, measured, and fed Vera just a few minutes ago. I knew she was tiny, but didn't know how tiny and now I'm a little worried about her. I was told by BHB that she is a 2013 so she's at least 3 1/2 months old, they told me most likely 5-8.

She is 12 inches long, and weighs six grams, which I guess is a perfectly normal size...for a hatchling?! Is she going to be okay? Is she going to be permanently stunted?

After being cut in half the pinky weighed in at just over a gram. She ate it very quickly, after making sure to lick up all the blood in the container...

It is possible that she was fed a "maintenance diet" rather than a growth diet while at BHB. From what I understand, it doesn't hurt them to grow slowly, and in fact some people believe it may be healthier.

She sure is pretty. Love the pattern!

She won't be stunted! Just continue to feed her every 5-7 days (5 if want her to grow faster) and she should be normal. Although on the small side, she looks healthy to me.
