Up until yesterday our 6 yr old cornsnake was acting fine. Yesterday I tried to feed her an adult thawed mouse (which is the normal) and she would not eat. She did bite at the side of the mouse once or twice but then just kept moving around in the container. She would periodically open and close her mouth (which we did not notice until then either). Today noticed some decreased activity and opening of mouth but no other issues. She shed normally a few weeks ago. Has never ever skipped a feeding before, which is why we are a little alarmed. I don't believe there was any poop in the tank since last feeding (approx 2ish weeks ago).
Her tank is about 76 degrees on warm side, and 70 on the cooler side. Substrate used is aspen. There is a water bowl, and a few hiding areas and climbing vines in the tank. She currently is soaking in a warm water bath, but don't know what else to do or look for? Any ideas/thoughts???
Thanks
