I picked up an adorable sunset (super hypo Hog Island) boa from Sonja K. Reptiles last week. He has been settling in and just had his first feed here. He's currently nameless, too.

The first two pictures are from his first day here. The second two are Sonja's, one before his first shed and the other after his first shed. He was born 4/13 and has had one shed so far. The last pic is of me and his gorgeous daddy!

Great colors. Hmm, you could call him Chaplain, for his tiny stache? BTW, cool shirt; where'd you get it?

I don't know who that is, either! How sad am I.

I got it at Twin Cities Reptiles. Boa love!

I am surprised by this, but I am quite happy too! I never thought I'd get boas. At least when they are all on rats, I'll have 4 rat eaters (the 3 boas and 1 black milk). The rest will eat adult mice. That'll make f/t rodent buying a lot easier than it is now, with sizes all over the place.

Here are a few pictures from today. He ate 3 days ago after settling in for about 4 days. He was a good sport about the photography session.

We named him Watson! :-) After watching season 3 of Sherlock on Netflix, it seemed fitting.

Last night I took the lid off of Watson's tub to hold him, and he was in the process of shedding. :) I held him while he worked the rest off, and took pictures of him today.

I notice his dark areas are darker, and his light areas are lighter! There is more contrast to his markings now. This is only his 2nd shed (first with me)!

He came to an event last Saturday and met a lot of people, including some who aren't fond of snakes. He made a lot of friends! Such a sweet little snake.

He is looking so good. It's amazing the difference each shed can make.
